Valle San Martino / July 15th

Our first day of plein-air painting! We packed our backpacks and traveled several miles from Terni to arrive at the village of Valle San Martino. This is a small rural community with a population of about 30 people located high up in the hills. We settled in and began drawing and painting fabulous views of the surrounding area.

  1. Hey you all, wish I were sitting in the pleine aire with you painting, I can feel the warmth of the Italian sun and smell the rosemary in the heat. Be blessed...this is awesome!

  3. Mrs. McClung,
You are sooo lucky to get the chance to paint in such a pretty place. It sounds so relaxing. There must be alot of beautiful things to paint. I can't wait to see your artwork!!! Enjoy the scenery!

  4. Sounds like you guys are having fun! Mrs. McClung, you look so relaxed! I can't imagine living in a town with only 30 people. Everyone must know everyone else's business. Mrs. McClung, you must post a picture of your painting. And you better not say it's bad, because I know otherwise. Enjoy the scenery and keep blogging!!!! Have fun and stay safe!

  7. I was home sick yesterday and watched a show called "Passport and Painting" about plein air painting and thought of you two. What an amazing fellowship you've created. Love your blog and your paintings!
