Our first day of plein-air painting! We packed our backpacks and traveled several miles from Terni to arrive at the village of Valle San Martino. This is a small rural community with a population of about 30 people located high up in the hills. We settled in and began drawing and painting fabulous views of the surrounding area.
Hey you all, wish I were sitting in the pleine aire with you painting, I can feel the warmth of the Italian sun and smell the rosemary in the heat. Be blessed...this is awesome!

Sounds like you guys are having fun! Mrs. McClung, you look so relaxed! I can't imagine living in a town with only 30 people. Everyone must know everyone else's business. I was home sick yesterday and watched a show called "Passport and Painting" about plein air painting and thought of you two. What an amazing fellowship you've created. Love your blog and your paintings!
